BE FRUITFUL

John 15:8
 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

As we follow Christ we must remember that the evidence of our discipleship is fruitfulness.

John 15:16
Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and [that] your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

The evidence of any person is in the fruit they bear. So Jesus said:

Matthew 7:20
Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

When God made man he blessed Him, then commanded them to be FRUITFUL and multiply.

Genesis 1:28
And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

There are three types of fruiting (for the purpose of this write-up)

* good fruit
* bad fruit and
* fruitlessness

Revelation 3:15-16 (NLT)
“I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other!
But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth!
(see also Galatians 5:19-22)

This is why it is easier to convert an unbeliever than a derailed, deceived or erred believer. Selah

So there is only one way to be fruitful. It is by staying with the Word!

Genesis 2:16-17
But the lord God warned him, “You may freely eat the fruit of every tree in the garden—
except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. If you eat its fruit, you are sure to die.”

Joshua 1:8
 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

John 15:5
 I am the vine, ye [are] the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Colossians 1:10
That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

It is when we abide in Christ Jesus that we can bear fruit, then we can say that we are His disciples.

He called us and empowered us to sonship because we believed, our acceptance of Him is by our bearing fruit. Bearing fruit is the abiding!

Can we do an analysis of our life, are we fruitful? We must search with the eyes of the Spirit. Every believer must do this again and again, we must be assured that our heavenly record file is not empty. Selah!

May we be fruitful as we allow the Holy Spirit teach us in the revelation of the word.

This will be our testimony:

Matthew 25:21
His lord said unto him, Well done, [thou] good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

I see fruitful christians.

I see true disciples.

We are blessed. We should also be fruitful.
