WOE TO THE OPPRESSOR(Isaiah 33)

Isaiah 33:1
Woe to thee that spoilest, and thou [wast] not spoiled; and dealest treacherously, and they dealt not treacherously with thee! when thou shalt cease to spoil, thou shalt be spoiled; [and] when thou shalt make an end to deal treacherously, they shall deal treacherously with thee.

From the times of old man had been known to take opportunity of their position of power to deal treacherously with those they surpass. God has never supported this evil nature. He is love and expects us to show His nature. However many who refuse to acknowledge God's authority prefer to Lord it over others, to bring pain to others.

Jesus said:

Mark 10:42-44
But Jesus called them [to him], and saith unto them, Ye know that they which are accounted to rule over the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and their great ones exercise authority upon them.
But so shall it not be among you: but whosoever will be great among you, shall be your minister:
And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all.

That you have more than another, that you are put above another, that you have the authority to decide over another, should make you more careful. It implies that you have a lot to account to God for.

Luke 12:48
But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few [stripes]. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.

If only our leaders will be conscious of the fact that God would eventually arise for the oppressed, if people in authority would understand that God is the real authority, they will desist from their atrocities and submit to God.

Hell is indeed real, fire that will not quench! selah.

Isaiah 33:14
The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?

May we who are of God never be found wanting. We shall not be the oppressed and we shall not oppress the innocent.

We are blessed.
