WHAT SEPARATES ME FROM GOD? (Isaiah 59)
Isaiah 59:2
But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid [his] face from you, that he will not hear.
This was the situation at the time of the prophesy in Isaiah 59. Sin hindered man but God had His way of salvation.
God Himself saved man, man could never save himself.
Reading through Isaiah we wonder why they ever expected God to hear them.
Today the believer cuts himself off by doing anything away from faith!
Romans 14:23b
for whatsoever [is] not of faith is sin.
We remember that:
Hebrews 11:6
But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
All acts of iniquity is a product of lack of faith. Thus we give room for fear, delusions and submit to the flesh. Selah
How are the elders justified:
Hebrews 11:2
For by it the elders obtained a good report.
By Faith!
Thus how do we expect an answer when we do not have faith? :
James 1:6-7
But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
But when we work by faith, we connect with the word in spirit, and receive it via prayer, then we speak/proclaim it by faith.
Romans 10:10
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
We would not err as they did, for we have the Spirit.
Isaiah 59:21
As for me, this [is] my covenant with them, saith the LORD; My spirit that [is] upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed, saith the LORD, from henceforth and for ever.
And as we speak the revealed word:
Isaiah 59:19
So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.
Then we see Isaiah 60. We arise and we shine.
Glory to God!
We are the blessed.
