WE ARE NOT IN THE "woe" (Isaiah 15 - 26)

Isaiah 17:7-8
At that day shall a man look to his Maker, and his eyes shall have respect to the Holy One of Israel.
And he shall not look to the altars, the work of his hands, neither shall respect [that] which his fingers have made, either the groves, or the images.

Reading through Isaiah chapter 14 up till chapter 26, we see prophesy of woes against Babylon, Egypt, Assyria, Tyre, Lucifer, Philistine, Moab, Syria, Ethiopia, and even Israel.

The woes then moved to the whole world:

Isaiah 24:5
The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.

In the midst of all these woes, there still remaineth the people which keepeth the truth, the believers!

Isaiah 26:2
Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keepeth the truth may enter in.

The timing is dynamic: the time of the prophesy(the time of Isaiah), the near future (revelation of Christ), the further future (the release of the Holy Spirit) and the end (the return of Christ)

We are that people, God's peace surrounds us:

Isaiah 26:3
Thou wilt keep [him] in perfect peace, [whose] mind [is] stayed [on thee]: because he trusteth in thee.

Those who lived to that expectation included Daniel and His three friends, who stood for God even when the other option was death. They were not in their city, even their temple had been ravished, yet they remained faithful. What is our excuse?

Romans 12:2
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

We would not forget who we are, we would not blend with the condemned. We are not part of the "woe". Halleluyah!

We are blessed. Get up brethren, pray, study the word, worship, then go forth into the world and shine the light.

Yes, we are blessed.
