No Rest For The Wicked (Isaiah 57)
Isaiah 57:21
[There is] no peace, saith my God, to the wicked.
It has always been this way, the wicked are always faced with God's wrath.
When the righteous leave this earth it is to peace. They enter a rest waiting for the time when their reward will be revealed. Those of us still here continue either in doing right or doing wrong. One thing is sure those who will be alive at the time of the return of the Lord would have tested part of the tribulation, just a while, then they would be caught up with other saints to joy everlasting. But those who reject the Lord awaits judgement and sorrow that is unthinkable.
Isaiah 57:1-2
The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth [it] to heart: and merciful men [are] taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil [to come].
He shall enter into peace: they shall rest in their beds, [each one] walking [in] his uprightness.
Revelation 22:11-22
He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.
And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward [is] with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
There is no good in being the wicked, it has never paid well and it never will. The Lord leaves the wicked to calamities and sorrow. It may seem delayed to the watcher but you can't tell the sorrow, the pain and restlessness inside.
Isaiah 57:20
the wicked [are] like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt.
Psalms 1:4-6
But not the wicked! They are like worthless chaff, scattered by the wind.
They will be condemned at the time of judgment. Sinners will have no place among the godly.
For the lord watches over the path of the godly, but the path of the wicked leads to destruction.
We are not of the wicked, we of the righteous.
May the Lord save our nation from evil and wicked rulers. The godly shall take over the thrones. Our prayers are answered. Glory to God.
We are blessed.
