Aligned Thoughts (a reminder)

Truely it is difficult for two to walk together without agreeing.

Amos 3:3
can two walk together, unless they are agreed?

This prophesy came to Amos when the Lord was angry with Isreal He reminded them of his delivering them from Egypt and further taken them as His family yet they decided to walk in their own way in variance with God's will for them.

The Lord also called us as family in the new Isreal, a reaching to the whole world.

Titus 2:11
For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men,

John 1:12
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name:

Hebrews 2:11
For he who makes holy and those who are made holy are all of one family; and for this reason it is no shame for him to give them the name of brothers,

When we meditate on the way the children of Isreal messed up in their relationship with God, we marvel at how great their unbelieve was. Upon all the Lord showed to them they just couldn't stay faithful. We see examples again and again of selected few who stayed faithful but the rest just kept on provoking God.

Romans 10:21
But to Israel he says: "All day long I have stretched out My hands to a disobedient and contrary people."

Sometimes I sit back and reflect, then I become so grateful that I was not born in such times.

It is easy to look down on them and their failings as a family. What can we say of our time when we have received greater than what they received. They were bound by the law but we received grace. What is our excuse?

John 1:17
For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

We cannot afford, not to allign to this great love God has shown us.

Hebrews 10:28-29
Anyone who has rejected Moses' law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.
Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace?

The price has been paid for us, the once and for all sacrifice has been paid, the victory has been won.

All we need to do, is allign with His finished work.

Hebrews 9:14
how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

Hebrews 12:22-24
But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels,
to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect,
to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel.

We have so great a salvation, all we need do is allign our thoughts and our minds to him.

Romans 12:2
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

We must keep our thoughts alligned to Him, day in day out.

Remember that the enemy's trick still remains, just as he did in the beginning to make our mind stray away from God then focus it on our self(flesh), on the world or on him, the enemy.

That is why the bible says:

Colossians 3:2
Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.

Let us remember

1John 2:17
And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.

As we grow older we see that those things which we desired so much, some things we longed for, do not move us anymore, we just begin to long for another. The vanity struggle keeps going on and on again. Yet we must not loose sight of the blessed hope.

I see us realligning our thoughts to God. In all that we see, achieve, enjoy or suffer in this present world we would not loose sight of what really matters.

We will not sacrifice the eternal for the carnal.

We will have God's word filled in our heart.

We will not draw back.

We will win.

God bless you.

Love
@ the watcher.
