THE SEPARATION (Isaiah 6)

From the beginning of man's living on earth there have been separation(s), and most times it has been on the line of the good and the evil.

From Isaiah chapter six many have taught on the death of King Uzziah as the liberty that allowed Isaiah see the Lord. Then they go ahead to advice us to break links with this person or that person. This do have a lesson to those who have attached themselves to people instead of to the Almighty God!

However separation from Isaiah 6 is seen in Isaiah's prophesy in two scenarios: firstly we see Isaiah exclaim:

Isaiah 6:5
Then said I, Woe [is] me! for I am undone; because I [am] a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.

That is our separation from God, our unclean lips, the evidence of a sinful heart. Just as Jesus said:

Matthew 12:34&35
"Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.
Matthew 12:35
"A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things.
(see also Luke 6:45)

However because it was grace that brought Isaiah to see the vision of the Lord he was made clean:

Isaiah 6:7
And he laid [it] upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.

Jesus did same for us:

John 15:3
"You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.

However it is left to us to abide in Christ Jesus that we may be fruitful.
(John 15:1-27)

The second separation is that which has also been from the early times "the remnant". These should make every believer question themselves:

Isaiah 6:9 & 10
And He said, "Go, and tell this people: 'Keep on hearing, but do not understand; keep on seeing, but do not perceive.'
Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.

However the remnant will return, the stump shall still be fixed, the substance of the Holy seed!

Isaiah 6:13
If even a tenth—a remnant—survive, it will be invaded again and burned. But as a terebinth or oak tree leaves a stump when it is cut down, so Israel’s stump will be a holy seed.”

Let us see the way Paul narrated this:

Galatians 3:22
But the Scripture has confined all under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.

Romans 3:23
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

Thus the remnant today are those who truly believe, those who would make it to the end.

Matthew 24:12 & 13
And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

2 Corinthians 6:17 - 7:1
Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean [thing]; and I will receive you,
Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

There is always the crowd, we must be careful to follow the straight and narrow path:

Matthew 7:14
"Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

Never enjoy sin, don't stay there. Instead:

Colossians 3:5 & 6
Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:
For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:

Romans 8:13
For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

We are a different breed, we are separate, thus we must live that life.

1 Peter 2:9
But ye [are] a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

Glory to God!

We are blessed
