JESUS THE CHRIST IS THE REALITY
Paul wrote to the church at Colosse, he heard of their faith, he knew that they needed to be encouraged.
Colossians 2:6-10
[6]And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him.
[7]Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.
[8]Don’t let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the spiritual powers of this world, rather than from Christ.
[9]For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body.
[10]So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.
1. CONTINUITY: Most business fall because they fail in this, we do not just sit and begin to eat the fruits of the harvest, we also go again to sow, that we keep on reaping the harvest.
Ecclesiastics 3:2b
a time to plant, and a time to pluck up [that which is] planted;
2. BUILD STRONG ROOTS: We cannot afford to waste our youth, be it youth as in age or youth as a believer. We must study, understand scriptures, be rooted in the basics, then learn to eat strong meat. If our roots are not deep down we would be like the seeds planted on stony ground that sprout a little then die off because no deep roots are built.
1 Peter 2:2
Like newborn babies, you must crave pure spiritual milk so that you will grow into a full experience of salvation. Cry out for this nourishment,
1Timothy 4:12
Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
3. DON'T MAKE PHILOSOPHIES, HUMAN WISDOM, OR HIGH SOUNDING NONSENSE YOUR DOCTRINE: Some will tell you, is it not in the bible! Examples include what Paul included in Colossians 2:8, ah is worship/sabbath not on Saturdays, you hear things like I do not celebrate birthdays, I don't sing the national anthem, I am forbidden to marry, I do not eat this or that. The blabbing is endless.
Colossians 2:16-17
So don’t let anyone condemn you for what you eat or drink, or for not celebrating certain holy days or new moon ceremonies or Sabbaths.
For these rules are only shadows of the reality yet to come. And Christ himself is that reality.
Jesus said:
Luke 6:5 And he said unto them, That the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.
Matthew 5:17
Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
We carry God's Spirit that we are not limited by letter but empowered to please God by His Spirit! Selah
We must never be trapped in these things.
4. JESUS THE CHRIST IS ALL IN ALL:
Everything, God has wrapped all in His son. Listen to Colossians 2:9
"For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body."
And
Colossians 2:10,16-17
[10]So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.
[16]So don’t let anyone condemn you for what you eat or drink, or for not celebrating certain holy days or new moon ceremonies or Sabbaths.
[17]For these rules are only shadows of the reality yet to come. And Christ himself is that reality.
JESUS THE CHRIST is the reality!
It would be a disappointment if we spend our whole lives living in the trap of philosophies and mundane laws and thus become unfruitful. If we do not bear fruit, we should not expect any reward but condemnation.
LET US DO THIS:
2 Corinthians 10:5
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
Jesus the Christ is our reality, let us live with Him thus, and let us teach others this truth.
You are blessed.
