DON'T WASTE IT
Matthew 13:17
For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous [men] have desired to see [those things] which ye see, and have not seen [them]; and to hear [those things] which ye hear, and have not heard [them].
When Jesus the Christ returned from the fasting in the wilderness and also from Satan's temptation He revealed why He came as recorded in Luke Chapter 4:
Luke 4:18 & 21
The Spirit of the Lord [is] upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.
In Matthew 13:17 Jesus said that the prophets and righteous men of old sought to see and hear these things but they could not.
Halleluyah, we who are mostly ordinary men have been called into it. We have been born again!
Matthew 13:16
But blessed [are] your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.
John 3:3
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
We can not boast of more good works, courage, boldness, sacrifice or perseverance as our fathers of old (in the old testament) had, yet we are privileged to be the benefactor of such great a salvation.
That we can even correct many of their errors in teaching and writing.
Luke 11:31
The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and condemn them: for she came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon [is] here.
"The wisdom of Jesus the Christ is greater than that of Solomon"!
Luke 10:21
In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.
THEREFORE!
Having these privileges, let us not take it for granted, we cannot afford to waste it.
We have so great a salvation, let us arise and make the most of it, blocking our ears from the distractions of the world, the lies of satan and the pleasure of sin.
Hebrews 2:3
How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard [him];
Let us stay with God through His Son and in the power of His Holy Spirit and bear fruits that abide.
Matthew 13:23
But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth [it]; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
Nothing should be so powerful to take away our purpose, our calling. Not money, not people, not thorns, not the cares of this world, not self glory. We are of good soil, we grow roots deep down!
Arise! Take your place. Start the prayers now, begin to study of the word, speak in the Spirit, meditate the word. Have faith. "You are more than this!"
MAY WE ALL REJOICE AT THE END
God bless you.
