Liberty, that is why He came

LIBERTY

Luke 4:18
The Spirit of the Lord [is] upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

Jesus the Christ came to bring liberty, because man was in bondage.

1. Man was poor:

Revelation 3:17
Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

Man was poor in his soul he had nothing for eternity, he had no reward, one cannot talk of wealth with what is perishable.

Revelation 3:18
I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and [that] the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

James 2:5
Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?

2. Man was blind:

2 Corinthians 4:4
In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

John 9 : 39 & 41
And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.
Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth.

John 3:3
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Many cannot see the kingdom of God, the more the pharisees tried to work with the law the more the remained blind, the bible says the word of God is light, when you don't see (understand) one remains in darkness but if you can see, the light enters and fills the whole body with illumination.

3. Man was bruised:

Genesis 3:15
And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

John 8:32-34
And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
“But we are descendants of Abraham,” they said. “We have never been slaves to anyone. What do you mean, ‘You will be set free’?”
Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave of sin.

Sin beats up a man, makes him lesser than who he is, a slave, in bondage. He is bruised and needs help. Jesus came that sin would no longer reign in our mortal bodies. Yes, He came to set us free!

Yes Christ has come to set the captives free. Do you understand this? Do you know what great a salvation we have.

I believe you have received it.

You should also share with those who are yet to receive.

I see an awakening of believers, weak made strong, people who will arise in their liberty and display their victory. Many will find the Lord and backsliding will nowhere be found.

Glory to God

And the earth shall be filled with the glory of God as the waters cover the sea.
