THE EMPTY TOMB
What were they expecting, no not an empty tomb, they expected to meet the same situation, the body that would remind them that all hope was lost.
Do they begin to search for another, why, how could he have died.
John the baptist felt the same way when he didn't see Jesus perform the way he expected when he was arrested by Herod.
Matthew 11:3
And said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another?
When you are used to what you know only, what God would do will always catch you by surprise.
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Isaiah 55:9
"For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thought
The fact that the tomb was empty caused tears, sorrow and confusion.
"They have killed him, why still take away his body, what do we have left?"
Yet what they looked for was the wrong manifestation.
Luke 24:5-6
Then, as they were afraid and bowed their faces to the earth, they said to them, "Why do you seek the living among the dead?
"He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee,
As we remember the ressurrection of Christ Jesus, may every dead thing we hold unto be relieved of us, may we experience the new and renewed that God has given us.
* Every besetting sin be replaced with the nature of God's holiness and love.
* Every sickness be replaced by divine health
* Every lack be replaced by heavenly supply
* Every delayed blessing be replaced by open heavens
* Every fear be replaced by the Spirit's Peace
* Every failure be replaced with new ideas and success
* Every failed marriage be replaced with a happy home.
* Every childlessness be replaced with children surrounding our table
* Every tear be turned to celebration
* Every doubt be replaced by renewed Faith
* Every foolishness be replaced by heavenly wisdom.
The tomb became empty that the right hand of the Father would be occupied.
May that which is dead in us be empty that we will sit with Christ in heavenly places.
Ephesians 2:6
and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.
God bless you.
