DON'T BREAK THE WALL 2

Psalm 12:1
Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.

The walls in this context, we explained in part 1 refer to barriers that have been put in place to enable us avoid mistakes, sins and not to fall into temptation.

Matthew 6:13b
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:

These barriers could be between good and evil, i. e, between light and darkness. They could be actions we take, things and situations we avoid. It could also be actions of discipline. The purpose is to ensure that the darts, tricks and devices of the enemy, self and the world do not penetrate.

We live in times when some of us trusted with the glory of God's presence still give room for the flesh. Forgetting that

Romans 13:14
But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to [fulfil] the lusts [thereof].

1John 2:16&17
For all that [is] in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

Not heeding to this instruction leads to the embarrassment the house of God suffers when men trusted with authority misbehave and are caught doing abominable things (some of us may be good at hiding it)

It is time for the church to arise and go beyond praying for material increase but to pray for believers, church leaders, elders and ministers to stand strong in faith, living lives of repute that non can speak evil of Christ or His people.

The younger ones have to be taught how to build walls that would keep away all the temptations and traps of the enemy and the flesh.

Ecclesiastes 10:8 (NLT)
When you dig a well, you might fall in. When you demolish an old wall, you could be bitten by a snake.

Most of these walls take time to build, they thicken through our continuous practice and discipline. They actually form what we call maturity. Every believer must be taught this. Here the Holy Spirit plays His role. We say : The HOLY Spirit thus he that lives in us is HOLY. Selah!

Ephesians 6:13
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

It is God's desire for all not to fall into temptation, however because of who He has made us to be, "gods", it is still up to us to decide if we want to stay holy with him or submit to the flesh.

2 Peter 2:9
The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:

Revelations 3:10
Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

Genesis 15:6
And Abram believed the lord, and the lord counted him as righteous because of his faith.

This is not a bondage to the law, NO, it is the life, the very character of the believer who is disciplined because he is a disciple.

I see believers whose life and life style display the nature of their faith and Him who they have believed. None would find fault in our works. We would be great ambassadors.

God bless you.

Love
