AGAIN I SAY, IT IS ALL ABOUT HIM
What is all the fuss about, why all the discipline, spirituality and teachings. The truth is, it is all about Him, God, the Father!
He began it, and He will also end it!
Matthew 4:17
From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Repent: (theology intransitive) To be sorry for sin as morally evil, and to seek forgiveness; to cease to love and practice sin.
Man fell away from his glory when he sinned in the beginning. Man then needed salvation, and thus from the power of sin and death. These was what Jesus the Christ came to do.
The question was "what did God command?"
Genesis 2:17
But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
Exodus 20:1
And God spake all these words, saying,
These commandments through the generations were not understood by the chosen ones, the converted it to fleshy pride. Jesus came to make them clear and thus, summarized the law.
Matthew 22:37-40
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment.
And the second [is] like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
For remember He said:
Matthew 5:17
Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
David lived in the dispensation of these laws but was not held captive in it. selah!
Thus the new commandment, which actually is the fulfilment of the former.
1John 2:7&8
Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning.
Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth.
And the command is:
1John 3:23
And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
Just as Jesus told the rich ruler:
Luk 18:22
Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.
So this is the end of it all, everything we do, all we earn, all our dealings in this world is targeted at fulfilling the will of God. They must all keep us following Christ and must be an investment for heaven.
The truth is, it is all about Him.
Acts 17:28
For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
That is the fact, all that run from Him and His Lordship cannot be called wise, we will still account to Him.
"TELL AS MANY AS YOU KNOW AND LOVE THIS TRUTH"
As we go on this year may God grant us more revelations of Himself.
