WHERE ARE OUR GODLY WOMEN?

Titus 2:3
The aged women likewise, that [they be] in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;

Where are our elderly women? The Anglican Communion has the group they called Christian Mothers and further still Mothers Union. This group still called various names in different denominations such as "Good women"  and "Awesome Treasures". These group of women ought to stand out as mentors and guardians for the younger women to guide them aright on their conducts as wives, mothers and christian women.

Titus 2 :3 gives some description:

* Holiness: are our elderly women holy,  are they separated to God?

* Truthful(Not false accuser) Do they avoid gossip and rumour mongering?

* Can they control how they eat and drink (how do they behave in gatherings when food and drink is served?)

* Do they teach good things, are they examples? In appearance, speech and conduct?

Titus 2 : 4 & 5
That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,
 [To be] discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

What are the elderly women to teach the younger ones?

Titus 2 : 4 - 6 (NLT)
These older women must train the younger women to love their husbands and their children,

Titus 2:4-5
These older women must train the younger women to love their husbands and their children,
to live wisely and be pure, to work in their homes, to do good, and to be submissive to their husbands. Then they will not bring shame on the word of God.

* To love their husband and children

* Live in wisdom, be learned, think don't just speak or act. Live by the Spirit.

* Work in their homes: their first assignment/job is the home, before any other job. This is actually where they would account to God.

* Submit to their husband: this part the new generation women hate to hear. The anti-christ teaching of women liberation confuse women freedom with submission to their husbands!

* Be industrious: (Proverbs 31:27
She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.)

The verses conclude by saying that if young women follow and obey these instructions they will not bring shame to the word of God.

Women, do we? Are we bringing shame to the word of God? Or do we glorify God?

Paul noted women who helped him in ministry:

Philippians 4:3
 And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and [with] other my fellowlabourers, whose names [are] in the book of life.

The role of women in the move of God in these last days can not be overemphasized, thus the attack of the enemy to ensure the women conform to the world and not to God.

1 Peter 3 : 3 - 5
Whose adorning let it not be that outward [adorning] of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;
 But [let it be] the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, [even the ornament] of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
 For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands:

May God awaken our older woman to arise and stand as elders. May our younger women be shining lights. May all believers revive their zeal and obedience to God.

You are blessed.

Love
