WAITING ON THE LORD

Isaiah 40:31
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew [their] strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; [and] they shall walk, and not faint.

We may have prayed, maybe fasted, cried, wailed and it seems God has not yet answered our prayer. We may ask: "could it be that it dosen't bother God?". You may even find your counterparts getting that thing you are still waiting for, easily.

Still we must learn to wait.

Will it be easy? No. Yet we must wait.

Waiting on the Lord works out our patience and proves our obedience.

Micah 7:7
"Therefore I will look to the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me."

Lamentations 3:26
"It is good that one should hope and wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD"

Quoting Pastor Taiwo Lemoshe
"when you have not gotten a new instruction keep obeying the previous one"

I then add
 "while you are expecting
blessings or promotions, keep enjoying and rejoicing in the one you have already, giving thanks."

Remember it is those who wait on the Lord that renew their strength.

Isaiah 40:31
But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.

Seeking for alternatives will in the
long term bring bitterness and regret.

We must be careful whose advice and suggestions we listen to.

It is in the waiting times that evil suggestions come our way.

The scriptures gives us mistakes made by our fathers in their waiting period.

* Abraham went in to Haggai

* Aaron built a golden calf for the children of Isreal to worship

* King Saul went ahead to make the sacrifice alone, he further went to consult with a sorcerer

the list goes on and on and the result on each occassion was regret. Some we are still faced with its consequences today.

While waiting what we need to do is to keep busy getting to know God better, studying His word and to join in reaching out to those who don't have what we have yet, especially those who are yet to be saved.

Remember our mind may be so conscious of what we think God has not done. What of what we can see He has already done? Let us give Him the praise!

The waiting will soon be over, the celebration is almost here.

Let us make good our waiting period!

Let us learn to wait.

May joy fill us today. All is well.

Love
@the watcher.
