POTENCY OF THE PSALMS

Psalms 91:1
 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

2Thessalonians 3:3
 But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep [you] from evil.

When we read the psalms and other prophetic books of the scriptures we should remember:

Colossians 2:17
 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body [is] of Christ.

Hebrews 8:5
 Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, [that] thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.

The potency of these books is still certain today as it was of old. God respects His inspired word and that was why Jesus declared himself from these scriptures:

Isaiah 61:1&2
 The Spirit of the Lord GOD [is] upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to [them that are] bound;
 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

Luke 4:18&19
 The Spirit of the Lord [is] upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

Psalms 110:1
The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

Mark 12:36
 For David himself said by the Holy Ghost, The LORD said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool.

So therefore when we read these great books may we understand when they speak by the Holy Ghost and also give prophesy to us.

Therefore brethren:

Luke 24:44
And he said unto them, These [are] the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and [in] the prophets, and [in] the psalms, concerning me.

Ephesians 5:19
 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;

James 5:13
 Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.

Colossians 3:16
 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

The seat that David occupied was not a just a blessing to the children of Isreal of those days, it was the prophesy for the coming of Christ, His life and further goes forth to all who will live in the victory of this promise, the children of God.

Therefore by the power of the Holy Spirit just as Jesus did, we can enjoy the potency of these great books filled with worship, prayers and revelations.

Sing a psalm today!

God has blessed you brethren, do have a lovely weekend.

Love.
