Genesis 15:6
And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.
There is this error of confusing the works of faith with the works of the law. This misunderstanding could make a believer think that faith is just a feeling or a profession.
As we go on this new year, we would have received lots of instruction, prophesies, and made lots of plans. We would have set goals and also resolved to change some methods, strategies including our lifestyle.
We do all this because we have faith in God that they would all come to pass. Yes this is the right thing to do, but we must be complete.
James 2:17&20
Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
The working of faith must be effective if we are to succeed.
* We do the speaking;
Matthew 17:20
And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
* We do the going, we begin, we obey;
Luke 5:5
And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.
* We do the living, it is our lifestyle;
Ephesians 2:8
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:
* We make the changes, the actions we take when we believe differs from the ones we take when we do not believe.
1Corinthians 2:5
That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
Romans 1:17
For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
* We show the love, because we know that Him whom we have faith in is LOVE
Galatians 5:6
For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.
Ephesians 1:15
Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,
* Our faith prompts others to have faith too.
1Thessalonians 3:7
Therefore, brethren, we were comforted over you in all our affliction and distress by your faith:
Romans 1:8
First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.
Do you have faith, have you believed in God? Then your works would show it. Faith is not silent, it is alive and active.
James 2:18 & 19
Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
Everyone would begin with full optimism this year, but those who would achieve are those who match their faith with the right actions.
Ok dear one, arise have faith, do the actions, live the life.
