Colossians 3:2
Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
The prayer of God's own.
Matthew 6:10
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as [it is] in heaven.
The Lord's prayer is still relevant. It never lost its potent power, revelation and authority. It is only that wisdom was revealed we saw beyond the fundamentals.
Every believer should understand that we were not sent on earth to build our own agenda, but to be an extension of God's kingdom. Every idea that is good is released to man from God. Though many may have received who may not be believers, yet all are from God. They are mere tools. selah!
James 1:17
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
The babylonian king who was able to build a city that stood on water said "Is it not this great Babylon I have built" however he had to confess God's greatness after he experienced God's power first hand. He then understood that all was from God, Even the evil man for the evil day.(selah).
So every believer must seek God's kingdom established here on earth.
Luke 17:21
Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
That is God living in you and me if we have been born again.
John 3:5
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and [of] the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
We carry Him on the inside, we express Him in all we do, His power revealed by the word and power, the Holy Spirit.
Romans 14:17
For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
We live here but we "rep" heaven, His glory, His love, His power, His word and His works.
Psalms 119:16
I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word
No matter how busy we are, no matter how much fun we are having, no matter the pain, no matter the celebration. We must not forget.
We are an extension of His kingdom. We are ambassadors, our authority is from above.
John 8:23
And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.
John 3:31
He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.
