NEVER CEASE TO WORSHIP
Psalms 30:12
To the end that [my] glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.
Psalms 30:4
Sing praise to the LORD, You saints of His, And give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name.
One way we can express our gratitude to God and show the awareness of His power is by singing His praises.
Singing is an activity that gives an atmosphere of joy to one, and who better to sing His praise than the owner of joy Himself.
Every believer ought to practice singing praise to God. In it we confess who He is and what He has done.
One of the first entry of singing praises to God was that which Moses, Miriam and the whole of Isreal sang, when the Lord used Moses to give Isreal victory from the hand of Pharoah.
Exodus 15:1 & 21
Then Moses and the children of Israel sang this song to the LORD, and spoke, saying: "I will sing to the LORD, for He has triumphed gloriously! The horse and its rider He has thrown into the sea!
And Miriam answered them: "Sing to the LORD, for He has triumphed gloriously! The horse and its rider He has thrown into the sea!"
Songs abound everywhere, different languages, various lyrics and different styles. For the believer we could seperate: the circular and the gospel.
We know that music itself is spiritual, we ofcourse, need to be careful what we sing. However it is the meaning you put in a song that will define what it connotes or stands for.
In all, no matter what we sing and for what reason, we must be able to have enough time to sing in worship and thanksgiving to God. A grateful heart is one filled with joy and is qualified to receive more.
If you have gone quiet, it is time to awaken your singing in worship to God in hymns and spiritual songs.
Not in noise making or becoming a nuisance to others but in organised melody, decent, honourable and pleasing to God.
Colossians 3:16
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
Ephesians 5:19
speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord,
The heart is the soul of the music!
In the morning, noon, afternoon, evening or at night. Whenever His thought comes to mind. Give Him praise.
When you remember the testimonies. Praise Him.
When difficulties or challenges come. Praise Him.
No matter what it is, give Him praise.
You will always be the better for it.
Always remember:
Colossians 3:17
And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
God bless you.
