JOY, BECAUSE HE CAME

Luke 2:10-11
And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

Angels announced to the humble a world event that is still as remarkable as it was then, even today. That the Son of the one and only Living God was to come as a man into this world to show us the way (which is Himself) to the Father. Then to sacrifice Himself that our sins be forgiven once and for all, and we also be sons of the Father. He also ressurrected thay we also be ressurrected.

Many bother about dates, actual places and the exact scenario, however the spiritual experience and transformation is what matters, that is why John said:

John 1:12
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name:

Yes many still bother about sabbaths, angels, Mary and other rituals but we do not understand that what really is the story is Yeshua himself, Jesus the Christ.

Colossians 2:16-18
Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath [days]:
Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body [is] of Christ.
Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,

So the world can talk of x-mas, christmas, happy holiday or santa claus. We know that the reason for the season is the birth of Him who came to:

Luke 4:18-19
The Spirit of the Lord [is] upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

As we celebrate, let us remember whom we celebrate, do we know him, have we accepted Him, have we told all about Him? Your gift to Him as we remember His earthly birth is to lead others to know Him.

I wish you a wonderful celebration, may the joy our saviour brought to the world delete every sorry in you. Light you up again with zeal to worship and work with Him. May the joy also strengthen you and cause His Spirit to come alive in you to fulfil God's purpose for you and to prosper in this life.

Nehemiah 8:10
Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for [this] day [is] holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.

Yes the JOY of the Lord is our strength. Halleluyah!

Have a wonderful Christ birth celebration.

Love
