HOW GREAT A SALVATION

1John 3:1
Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

That we live in this version of the world, messed up with wicked politics, sin and injustice, hatred and practice of evil to fellow man, conveteousness, stealing and murder, pretence and lies, backstabbing, sexual immoralities and abomidables. A world devoid of LOVE . . . we could become unconscious of who we are in God.

What the Messiah, Jesus the Christ did was no light a sacrifice, no small a measure of transformation. It is a relocation, a re-birth.

The Jewish teacher said:

John 3:9
Nicodemus answered and said unto him, ***How can these things be***?

What took place was a rebirth . . .

1Peter 1:3
Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

John 3:7
Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

Peter explained to us that the earth and the heavens would be destroyed by fire. (Please read 2Peter Chapter 3)

It is the reborn ones who can inherit the new heaven and the new earth. I pity the sects that still believe that they do not need to be "born again" some believe in many other things

* living a good life
* washing with water (ablution)
* deliverance ministrations
* paying of money
* living in denial
* working in a religious organization

However what Jesus said was:

John 3:3&5
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and [of] the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

I wonder what the salvation message is today, what do new converts hear when they attend church for the first time. What do baby christians feed themselves with? This are questions Pastors, Ministers and all cadre of Clergy should be asking themselves.

Remember what Jesus told the first church leader:

John 21:17
He saith unto him the third time, Simon, [son] of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. ****Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.****

The cares of this world, the challenges, the lust and the pride of life should never allow us play around with so great a salvation.

The angels eagerly waited for it. The prophets and our great fathers of old all hoped for it.

1Peter 1:11-12
 Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.
 Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into

Let us awake from the slumber from the strange intoxication.

We are not yet there, we do not even know what we shall be, our minds are not even able to fathom the glory that awaits us. We must not be carried away by the small flashes of glory but use them to soar higher, fulfilling our mandate.

1Peter 1:23-25
 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
 For all flesh [is] as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:
 But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

1John 3:2
Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

Never should we take lightly what God has done for us.

I see:

* serious believers filled with love, teaching the truth

* believers who carryout their circular work efficiently yet have no fault and are labourers for the kingdom

* believers whose love has not grown cold, who can still be called good as their Father is

* prayerful believers, who are always in touch with the Father

* believers who study the word, not just to prove a point, or by compulsion or duty but seeing the Person of Yeshua, Jesus the Christ.

May we all be a pleasing aroma to the Father.

YOU WILL END THE YEAR WELL.

GOD WOULD BRING YOU CLOSER TO THE KNOWLEDGE OF HIMSELF THROUGH HIS SON.

YOU ARE BLESSED!

Love
