Sons and the Rejected 1
Philippians 3:20
For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ,
When it comes to doctrines, it ought to be established from scriptures, after careful and thorough searching, then prayers.
Although today we have doctrines mixed up with tradition and heresay, then it is totally misinterpreted.
John 1:12
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name.
Yes we are empowered to become God's children when we receive the salvation that Jesus the Christ offers, yet the walking determines those who will eventually inherit eternal life.
Matthew 25:1-2, 11-12
"Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.
"Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish
"Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, 'Lord, Lord, open to us
"But he answered and said, 'Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you
The fact we are empowered to be God's children does not mean then that we can live anyhow we like. We were given something better a release from the power of the law to the Love in grace. We are even more careful.
Romans 11:21
For if God did not spare the natural branches, He may not spare you either.
Romans 6:1&2
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?
The bible prophesied that in the last days people would loose their consciences, many in the faith would depart following their own lust.
1Timothy 4:1
Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons,
1Timothy 4:2
speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron,
We need to understand that the enemy knows how great a salvation we have received, we need to know too, that we would not be played by him.
Adam did not know how great a dominion he had and so he traded it off to the enemy by being complacent and careless.
Just as Esau was so carefree that he gave up all he had just for a moment satisfaction. He never knew the worth of his birthright till it was time to inherit!
We cannot afford to toil with what we have received we cannot afford to play with such grace, we are not complacent, we are overcomers.
Luke 12:45 & 46
"But if that servant says in his heart, 'My master is delaying his coming,' and begins to beat the menservants and maidservants, and to eat and drink and be drunk,
"the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him, and at an hour when he is not aware; and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.
Awake brethren!
We will not be rejected!
We are of the wise, not the foolish!
We would not play around with so great a salvation.
We would build, we would not sleep!
We have no business with sin!
We walk by the Spirit!
God bless you.
