LET US PRAY FOR OUR LEADERS

Deutronomy 17:15-17&20
"you shall surely set a king over you whom the LORD your God chooses; one from among your brethren you shall set as king over you; you may not set a foreigner over you, who is not your brother.
"But he shall not multiply horses for himself, nor cause the people to return to Egypt to multiply horses, for the LORD has said to you, 'You shall not return that way again.'
"Neither shall he multiply wives for himself, lest his heart turn away; nor shall he greatly multiply silver and gold for himself.
"that his heart may not be lifted above his brethren, that he may not turn aside from the commandment to the right hand or to the left, and that he may prolong his days in his kingdom, he and his children in the midst of Israel.

We should vote 😀👍

There is need to pray for those who lead and those who would lead us. The bible says:

Romans 13:1&2
Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.
Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves.

We should note that God appoints individuals and not a government system. He appoints individuals that occupy a particular position of authority and they would all account to Him.

The children of Isreal had God as their king. What a great privilege but when they saw the King of Ammonites they wanted a king for themselves.

1Samuel 12:12
"And when you saw that Nahash king of the Ammonites came against you, you said to me, 'No, but a king shall reign over us,' when the LORD your God was your king.

Every believer first has God as king, before any other authority. We obey and cooperate with other authority because of God's authority.

1Peter 2:13 - 16
Therefore submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake, whether to the king as supreme,
or to governors, as to those who are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and for the praise of those who do good.
For this is the will of God, that by doing good you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men--
as free, yet not using your liberty as a cloak for vice, but as servants of God.

It is therefore needful to pray for all authority from the lowest direct to us to the highest. And also for those who would come after them.

1Timothy 2:1-3
Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men,
for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,

We therefore need to make time week after week to interceed for our leaders, that the right ones get to power and that those in power would obey God.

We must also do what is expected of us.

May it be well with our nation.

May our leaders honour God.

May the righteous occupy the thrones.

May God's will be done in our nation.

It is well with us.

Do have an awesome day.

Believe you have prayed!

Love
