DON'T BECOME HARD IN HEARING

Hebrews 5:11
of whom we have much to say, and hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing.

There may be days we do not feel like listening to the word of God or do not feel relaxed enough to meditate on it. It could be that we are exhausted, occupied or just not in the mood.

Staying long enough in that withdrawal or denial is dangerous, for eventually it becomes normal and we do not feel uncomfortable if a day passes and we have not heard from God.

I love this lyrics from Jeremy Camp's song titled "slow fade"

["It is a slow fade, when you give yourself away
A slow fade when black and white turns to gray
Thoughts invade, choices are made, a price will be paid
 When you give yourself away
People never crumble in a day]

The urge to hear from God fades away as we go day by day without hearing from Him.

Though we may have the bible, it remains a book till we study and listen to God from it.

Though we pray again and again, we do not get better till we hear God speaking into our spirit His will and His ways, giving us direction, filling us with comfort and peace.

Though we go to church, we are not a part of the body till we fellowship and are committed in love.

We must learn from the errors of those who lived before us, some fell, while some stood. We must also stand.

Acts 28:27
For the heart of this people has grown dull. their ears are hard of hearing, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, lest they should understand with their heart and turn, so that I should heal them." '

We must not get tired of daily exaltations. No matter how brief, we must feed our spirit each day. We cannot be too busy, no, we could make out that time. It dosen't have to be long.

This is what "the watcher" exaltations is meant for!

Hebrews 3:13
but exhort one another daily, while it is called "Today," lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

Hebrews 13:22
And I appeal to you, brethren, bear with the word of exhortation, for I have written to you in few words.

May the week be great for you. May God's presence always be with you. Things will work out well. Favour is yours. God has taken control.

Do have a lovely week ahead.

God bless you.
