TRUST IN THE LORD

TRUST IN THE LORD

Proverbs 3:5
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding;

Truely these are times when it doesn't look in vogue to be godly.

One can merely talk about God but to live the life is something else.

Ofcourse we know talk is cheap (there are exceptions though).

So we have some of us who  identify ourselves as Christians but our likeness to Christ remains a mirage,  of this category the word of God says

2Timothy 2:19
 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

Yet still the prove of our trust in God is not when all seems to be well but when we face challenges, difficulties or seem not to have what we need.

Our trust is shown in our patience, ability to listen (knowledge), then making the right choice, then our ability to show love to others even when it seems we have not received what we desired.

2Peter 1:5-8
 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
For if these things be in you, and abound, they make [you that ye shall] neither [be] barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

If believers are not careful these last days, they will awake to discover that their trust is no longer in God, but in:

* money
* fame
* pastor/prophet
* influential people
* relations
* self
etc.

We really need to acertain where our trust lies.

Psalm 37:5
Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass.

Psalm 34:8
Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!

May our desire for fast solutions not get the better of us.

We will trust in the Lord.

God bless you.

Love
