DON'T STAY IN THAT FILTH
2Corinthians 7:1
Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
It is unlikely that anyone would desire to live in sin, fulfiling the lust of the flesh. Even philosophers believe that man was created good. The bible talks of the original sin which man is born into because of the sin of Adam.
As we go day by day in this world we can't but get rubbed by the influence of the world system, of course the bible says it contradicts God's system.
James 4:4 - 5
Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, "The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously"?
Now the believer has God's Spirit dwelling inside, yet the effect of the Spirit is only activated in obedience.
1Peter 1:22
Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart,
That we now have the Spirit to obey does not mean that other voices would not come. They will, the question is "what do they want?"
They fight to make the believer remain in filth.
This they do because they know . . .
Romans 6:16
Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one's slaves whom you obey, whether of sin to death, or of obedience to righteousness?
So it is time to get rid of or get out of that filth!!!
David understood this, He experienced that liberation.
Psalms 32:2
Blessed is the man to whom the LORD does not impute iniquity, And in whose spirit there is no guile.
We as believers have been liberated, we cannot therefore be entangled again.
We will not be found wanting.
Every space will be clean.
