BE RECONCILED WITH GOD
The message of salvation is reconciling man to God.
2Corinthians 5:20
Therefore we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God.
2Corinthians 5:18
Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation,
We who have found rest in Jesus have a duty to lead others to this same reconciliation.
Wait a minute, who stands to loose by this? The enemy, Satan.
So does he stand back and watch, no, what does he do.
He keeps believers:
* busy with arguments and philosophy.
2Corinthians 11:3
But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
* so busy serving
Luke 10:40
But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, "Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me."
* chasing after wealth
Matthew 13:22
And that which was dropped among the thorns, this is he who has the word; and the cares of this life, and the deceits of wealth, put a stop to the growth of the word and it gives no fruit.
* send forth false teachers and prophets
1Timothy 4:1
But the Spirit says clearly that in later times some will be turned away from the faith, giving their minds to spirits of deceit, and the teachings of evil spirits,
* so many religions
Colossians 2:8
Take care that no one takes you away by force, through man's wisdom and deceit, going after the beliefs of men and the theories of the world, and not after Christ:
In all we must live, excel, prosper and love in this world yet we must play our part to reconcile people to God.
