GOD AND MONEY
Money has been from time a means of exchange from its value in silver and gold till when we had the copper coins and then the paper legal tender. Any thing accepted as a means of exchange can be termed 'money'
We could easily be swayed by the concept "money" forgetting that it is not about the money but what it can buy.
For any spiritual being there is an understanding that money has its spirit, just like power and fame. It therefore could intoxicate, derail and still be a blessing.
Luke 16:14
Now the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, also heard all these things, and they derided Him.
Luke 16:13
No man may be a servant to two masters: for he will have hate for the one and love for the other; or he will keep to the one and have no respect for the other. You may not be servants of God and of wealth.
Whenever caution is given about money it annoys those who love money even pastors and leaders.
Yet every believer must be a financial member of the fold, you can not be a member of a family and not contribute that is irresponsibility.
Yet still money should not be our driving force, it should not determine, what we do, how we treat people or even our love for God.
The amount we give is not what matters but the heart that brings it and how much you really are worth.
While Jesus sat watching people give at the assembly he only recognised the woman who gave so little, yet to God it was so much because she gave all she had without any compulsion but from her love for God.
Mark 12:41
Now Jesus sat opposite the treasury and saw how the people put money into the treasury. And many who were rich put in much.
We cannot run away from the truth, money is a god and many worship it today. We should never be caught in its web, we control money, money shouldn't control us.
Luke 16:13

For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
We as sons of God are made to abound in wealth, not just about money but in all good works. We do not just stack on or accumulate, we understand that our treasure is not here on earth but in the place where thieves do not steal and where it cannot rot.
Matthew 6:19
"Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal;
"but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.
As we go in this year working and prospering. Money will not overshadow us but we shall conquer it, bring it under our feet.
Money will not use or control us but we shall conquer and control wealth.
Nothing will take God's place in our life.
Does money control you?
Every true and worded believer knows that God'si blessings and prosperity cannot be measured or bought with money.
Can money give divine health, don't we see the wealthy who are still with incurable sicknesses, cannot eat what they want ,some are not happy, some even commit sucide worse still WHY DO THEY STILL CRAVE FOR MORE!!! What a waste!
Listen to what God says!
Isaiah 55:1&2
"Ho! Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat. Yes, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
Why do you spend money for what is not bread, and your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen diligently to Me, and eat what is good, and let your soul delight itself in abundance.
We shall not sacrifice our precious for money, yet money will sacrifice itself for glorious things for us.
